Sleeping Under The Subwoofer

Alright so– jon is going to piss himself once he reads this blog post, but lemme just get this out there first: NOTHING HAS YET BEEN CONFIRMED.

Okay so apparantly MuchMusic blogger Katharine Foster posted a blog that there are plans in the work for Led Zeppeling to play four shows THIS August at the Rogers Centre/ Skydome. Apparantly they are bypassing the US Completely, and just hitting Toronto. I really, really wish.

The National Post got in contact with the Rogers centre who seemed very confused at all of these rumours. They said currently there have been no press releases, no pending contracts, and they have no details.

hmmm.

FORTUNATLY THOUGH… these rumours aren’t completely unfounded. Also quoted in the article is Nadia Flaim, communications manager for the rogers centre. She said that she ““wouldn’t even necessarily say they’re in preliminary talks. It’s nothing that formal.”  

So that means… that they’ve ACTUALLY BEEN TALKING. 

And Graham Machacek.. the muchmusic communications deally- responded to Katharine’s highly buzzed about post (that I CANNOT SEEM TO FIND ANYWHERE), saying that her blog post was a “first-hand personal account” .. and so unless Katharine is on Robert Plant’s speed dial, then she’s probably playing broken telephone.

The supposed dates are to be August 19th, 20th, 22nd, and 23rd.

So if you’re like jon and toted around a led zeppeling hotmail account for the first 20 years of your life, you can religiosly check the Band’s website until they officially squash or confirm the rumours.. which will probably get to them in about a week, via airmail.  …Although they haven’t updated the news section since March 27th…

*sigh*

If this is true.. do you know how much money this is going to set the two of us back? Jon’s going to make us camp outside of the rogers centre for like three weeks.
