yeah. so I don’t want to talk about last night’s Mars Volta thing. at all. Jon can totally field that one. *is sad*
But here are a couple of new tidbits to keep you up tooo date.
COLDPLAY- Announced dates for their ‘Viva la Vida’ tour. They hit Toronto with two dates, October 29th and 30th. And no, you don’t get a discount if you wear your costume. If you’re interested you can check out their website for more infoss. about sale dates and whatnot. www.Coldplay.com. Don’t expect to see us at either show though… because I am not a big coldplay fan. :P
MADONNA- I heard this a couple of days ago and was actually not that suprised. Apparently Madonna cut a deal with StubHub (who is owned by eBay… that was the only part that suprised me) which is a ticket scalper. (stubhub buys like.. a huge percentage of the tickets off ticketmaster and sells them at a significantly marked up price) So now not only does Madonna receive a flat fee from StubHub, but she gets a percentage of each scalped ticket they sell… If she isn’t adverse to the backdoor of the music industry, we should probably expect deals in the future with Napster, Limewire and Morpheus. I’m exaggerating though. I’m all for supporting ‘starving artists in need of mink furs’. ps- she’s in Toronto October 18th, so go buy tickets for your mom.
MMVAS- Yeah so much is going all crazy about the MMVa’s. …And I guess that’s okay. On their website they uhh list quite a few prolific (canadian *cough*) musicians as being attendees/ nominees. Like Avril Lavigne, City and Colour, Feist and Nelly Furtado. All I have to say is… Yay Feist! But yeah. They show/ street closing down will be June 15th at 9 p.m and you can check out the official website/ vote your heart out for simple plan at www.muchmusic.com/mmva.
P.s- speaking of muchmusic. is www.phreak615.com still interrupting the end of the commercial breaks? That bastard. On his website he says he plans on hacking the MMVA’s. He’s probably going to HOST them. (His hacking bit would probably be a lot more believable if he didn’t post PG videos all the time. Maybe if like a big huge set of boobiezz flashed on my (or someone who watches) screen during MuchOnDemand then I’d actaully believe it. I’m just saying. MuchMusic has a seriously lack of boobs. You should actually go check out the website though. Unfotunatly, yes, it will up his hitcount causing the Veeeejays to giggle in ecstacy, but some of the comments to his posts are pretty darn hilarious.
If you’re going to make the interent cool, do it for a television sho we’re acutally anticipating!! like that guy from will and grace did with www.whathappenedinpiedmont.com.
